**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a seasoned expert in cloud infrastructure management to join our team. As a Principal Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and reliable cloud solutions.

This is a remote opportunity that requires occasional travel to customer sites within Europe. Our ideal candidate will have a solid background in automating deployments and production operations, with expertise in AWS, GCP, and Azure.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of our team responsible for creating, testing, and deploying comprehensive solutions for deployment automation. You will also troubleshoot and handle complicated production difficulties while contributing to the uninterrupted functioning of cloud services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain Extreme's cloud infrastructure in AWS, GCP & Azure.
  • Provide technical leadership in cloud infrastructure design and implementation.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement CloudOps / DevOps technology and solutions.
  • Deploy and configure middleware services, such as SQL, NoSQL databases, and messaging queue systems.
  • Troubleshoot and follow up on production infrastructure / application related issues.

Your Qualities:

  • BS level technical degree required; Computer Science or Engineering background preferred.
  • years of experience in a CloudOps / DevOps role.
  • Hands on experience with AWS or any public cloud (Azure, GCP etc.).
  • Knowledge of Linux, security and networking fundamentals.
