wallee requires a team of experienced and versatile software engineers to achieve our mission of providing the best payment experience to customers on the market. We use Scrum processes to organize our teams in multiple countries. We build technology leading payment systems that require a high degree of robustness, scalability and security. As we're disruptors of the payment market we're constantly pushing our solutions into new areas.

We are looking for a Front-End Software Developer to join our team in Vilnius.

Requirements

Role Description

As a Front-End Software Developer, your primary responsibility will be to create, maintain, and further develop the user interfaces for our payment products – precision, clarity, and trust are key. You will work closely with product managers, back-end engineers, and other stakeholders to implement the desired features while maintaining a close eye on the quality and optimization of our products.

Responsibilities

  • You will develop and maintain front-end components and a front-end component library (storybook).
  • You will write clean and well-documented code or rewrite existing code using appropriate design patterns.
  • You will translate user stories and design requirements into a modern user experience.
  • You will be responsible for the design of applications from a front-end perspective, taking UX and simplicity into account.
  • You will support the creation of components for cross-platform React Native applications.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience with front-end technologies (especially React), experience with Typescript.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with other industry-standard technologies such as Docker, Git, AWS, and experience with Ubuntu is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills. Our communication is primarily in English. 
  • Ideally, you have experience in the fintech industry.
  • Experience with distributed teams is a plus.
  • A user-centric mindset and an intrinsic motivation to learn new things.
  • You are able to quickly analyze problems and offer sound recommendations and solutions in a fast-growing, global company.
  • React Native experience is a plus.
