Corporate Governance Specialist

The role of Corporate Governance Specialist is pivotal in ensuring the financial control and integrity within a business unit. They play a crucial part in providing financial leadership, managing risks, and ensuring compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.

This position requires an individual to work closely with the Finance Director in creating financial strategies that align with the company's objectives, performing risk management, budgeting, auditing, and other financial duties. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting business decisions by providing detailed financial insights and driving financial efficiency across the organization.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with corporate direction.
  • Evaluate the financial impact of business decisions.
  • Provide leadership and guidance on financial matters.
  • Identify potential financial and business risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial reports, dashboards, and KPIs.
  • Plan and implement people development requirements for the team.

Requirements:

  • University Degree or equivalent experience in controllership, financial management, or similar roles.
  • Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of industry dynamics and organizational strategic goals.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Fluent in English with strong quantitative and analytical skills.
