Agentic Software Engineer

At Safe2transact we’re building fintech the new way. Agents write a lot of the code. Your job is to make them write the right code. Who we are S2T is a Vilnius-based fintech startup operating across the globe. We give businesses white-label IBANs, payment cards and crypto services. We work with industry leaders in banking, cards and crypto custody, and we have strong financial backing. Modern stack, no legacy monolith, no 15-year-old codebase to babysit. Our stack: Node.js, PostgreSQL, Azure. But honestly, the stack matters less every month. AI writes most of the code. You need to read it, understand it, and challenge it. What matters to us
• Trust. You get real ownership from day one. We expect honesty back, especially when something isn’t working.
• Excitement. AI is changing how software gets built, and we want to be the ones doing it, not reading about it.
• Startup pace. Small team, quick decisions, your work goes live and matters. How we work (and how you will)
• Agents first. You plan, delegate, review and ship. Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, whatever does the job best
• Context is code. CLAUDE.md files, skills, custom commands and hooks live in the repo and get reviewed like everything else
• Prompts are versioned, tested and improved, not copy-pasted from a chat window
• Several agents on several tasks at once, using worktrees, subagents and background runs
• Tests first, agent second. In fintech, “it looks right” isn’t good enough
• MCP connects agents to our real tools: Jira, databases, cloud, monitoring What you’ll actually do
• Build product features across payments, cards and crypto
• Turn repetitive work into agent workflows: testing, code review, ops, reporting
• Try new tools as they come out, and tell us straight what’s hype and what’s useful
• Help define our AI development playbook. It’s not written yet, you’ll co-write it You’ll fit in if you
• Genuinely get excited about where AI development is heading, and want to be part of it
• Have 4-5 years of hands-on development experience
• Can read Node.js code well enough to spot when an agent gets it wrong
• Use coding agents daily and can explain how: your setup, your workflow, where you trust them and where you double-check
• Have built at least one automation or agent workflow you’re proud of
• Know that the agent is fast but you’re accountable
• Learn fast and get bored doing the same thing twice Big plus if you
• Know your way around crypto: wallets, stablecoins, on-chain transactions, custody. Not there yet but curious? We’ll get you up to speed fast.
• Have worked in fintech or payments before What you get

Salary:
€3,500–4,000 gross/month + benefits
