The Opportunity

Our esteemed client, a pioneering digital investor communications platform, aims to revolutionize the financial services sector with cutting-edge solutions that benefit the entire ecosystem. This exciting project requires a Senior Java Engineer who will contribute to the development and maintenance of server-side components using Java18 and Spring framework.

Databases: SQL Server & Postgres

Messaging: Kafka & Websphere MQ

CI/CD: Jenkins

Observability: New Relic, Foglight & Opsgenie

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and support server-side components
  • Collaborate with product teams to align business needs with technical solutions
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure effective testing throughout the development lifecycle
  • Research and recommend new tools and technologies to improve the platform
  • Provide technical expertise and support to enhance team performance

Requirements:

  • Solid backend development experience using Java and the Spring framework
  • Proficiency in data modeling, RDBMS, SQL, and ORMs
  • Strong experience in designing and building scalable, secure, and robust backend systems
  • Familiarity with Kafka or other message brokers
  • Understanding of testing, deployment best practices, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in a Scrum-based team environment
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for learning new technologies
