The role is about:

In the Open Banking Team, you will be part of a team of experts, their sole mission is to ensure that our Banking services are running smoothly and solving real life problems. The Open Banking team will kick-start our Open Banking journey - As part of this team you are expected to solve problems with sustainable solutions and with scalability in mind.

Location: Poland, Portugal, London, UK, Limassol, Cyprus or Vilnius, Lithuania.

Reporting Line: Engineering Manager

What You'll Do:

• Constantly add value to the team by writing readable, testable and efficient code.
• Match the best suitable frameworks and tools for the designed architecture.
• Work towards a launch of a new product which will generate new verticals to the company.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, business analysts, and other developers, to understand and implement business requirements.
• Maintain and develop engineering culture.
• Work closely with the Team Lead to identify the key architecture drivers and Non-Functional Requirements for a core customer facing product.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.

Who You Are:

You are a skilled Senior Backend Engineer with expertise in and Open Banking APIs. You excel in building scalable, high-performance systems with a focus on security, reliability, and clean code. Your strong problem-solving skills and deep understanding of microservices, authentication (OAuth/OpenID), and cloud infrastructure make you a key contributor to innovative banking solutions.
What We`re Looking for :

Experience:

• A minimum of 7 years of experience developing high-load scalable applications using
• Strong knowledge of (or related frameworks such as Fastify or NestJS) and designing/implementing REST APIs.
• Experience with technologies such as PostgreSQL, Kafka, SQL Alchemy, and preferably Hazel cast or Redis.
• Understanding of distributed systems and integrations.
• Proven experience connecting and integrating third-party services.

Skills:

• Ability to deliver strong testing practices.
• Expertise in writing robust, fault-tolerant software that runs smoothly and reliably.
• Ability to implement solutions that minimize performance issues, complexity, or fragility.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Step 4: Final Behavioral Interview - A 45-60 minute discussion focused on team fit and collaboration with our Product Lead and CTO. This is your chance to dive deeper into our culture and align on expectations.
