About the Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned technology professional to spearhead our mobile development initiatives, leveraging expertise in React Native and TypeScript to craft high-performance applications.

This role offers an exceptional opportunity to shape the direction of our mobile-first strategy, driving innovation and raising engineering standards across mobile and web platforms.

As a leader in this field, you will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver seamless user experiences, while mentoring others through code reviews and technical discussions.

You will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust software solutions, driving CI/CD improvements, testing (with tools like Detox), and performance optimisations.

Requirements
  • Proven experience building and scaling mobile apps using React Native and TypeScript.
  • Strong understanding of mobile app architecture, testing, and performance optimisation.
  • Experience with mobile-specific tools such as Expo, EAS, Detox/Appium, and Firebase.
  • Solid background integrating with cloud services (preferably GCP) and microservice-based APIs.
  • Familiarity with architectural concepts such as API-first design, Domain-Driven Design, and design systems.
  • Exposure to web technologies, ideally with hands-on experience using React.
  • Bonus: Experience with native iOS/Android (Swift or Kotlin).
  • Passion for clean code, great UX, and inclusive, high-performance applications.
  • Strong English communication and collaboration skills.
