 Our client is a digital-first financial services company operating within the EU market. They provide a broad range of online solutions for individuals and businesses, including account management, payment processing, currency exchange, and local/international money transfers. The company is currently looking to strengthen its finance team by adding a skilled accountant.

Responsibilities

Payroll:

  • Ensure employee records are accurately maintained and regularly updated in the payroll system;
  • Perform monthly payroll processing in accordance with Lithuanian labor laws and tax regulations;
  • Generate and issue employee income statements and digital payslips in a timely manner;
  • Respond promptly to employee inquiries regarding payroll, compensation, and related matters;
  • Track important deadlines and ensure precise calculation and payment of payroll taxes and social security contributions;
  • Prepare and file mandatory reports to government authorities such as Sodra and the State Tax Inspectorate (VMI).

Accounting:

  • Oversee the flow and accurate filing of incoming accounting documents;
  • Enter purchase invoices into the accounting system on a daily basis;
  • Record and/or import bank statements into the accounting software;
  • Support the reconciliation of client account balances between the Genome platform and internal accounting records;
  • Assist with collecting reports from acquiring partners, performing necessary reconciliations, and uploading relevant data into the system;
  • Prepare and submit VAT declarations to the State Tax Inspectorate (VMI).

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in accounting;
  • Previous experience in the FinTech sector is considered an advantage;
  • Solid understanding of Lithuanian payroll processes and tax regulations;
  • Familiarity with payroll systems and accounting software (such as Navision or similar) is a plus;
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential;
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy;
  • Well-developed communication skills and a collaborative team mindset;
  • Fluency in Lithuanian and English is preferred.
