Job Description

As Baltic Oncology Business Unit Lead, you are responsible for oversight and leadership of our company’s oncology business with responsibility for setting the strategic direction for the portfolio to include driving sustained business growth.  You will be leading a talented team of Sales and Marketing professionals and have accountability for setting cross-functional priorities to establish our company as the leading Oncology company.  You will report to the Baltic Managing Director of our company and will be an integral part of the Leadership Team. You would be responsible to ensure compliance with all applicable company’s and local rules and regulations. 

 

As BU Lead Oncology, you are expected to meet Customers and Key Stakeholders at a regular basis as part of your role. 

 

The role can be based in any of the Baltic countries.  

 

Primary activities and Key Responsibilities 

  • Engage health care professionals and key stakeholders to shape an environment in which our medicines are used to deliver value to patients, public and the healthcare system. 

  • Understand and develop meaningful insights about market environments and business drivers, formulating strategies and planning to maximize business performance, and ensuring execution through resource allocation and organizational adaptation. 

  • Provide commercial leadership and input on launch readiness reviews, key customer management, and thought leader engagement. 

  • Lead forecasting, resource allocation, expense management, performance monitoring, and P&L management to deliver against financial commitments. 

  • Align cross-functional teams around a clear and compelling set of strategic objectives which will deliver business outcomes. 

  • Use data, analytic and agile approaches to drive better business outcomes and valued customer engagement. 

  • Guide a culture of curiosity, and continuous learning through which team members will experiment, adapt and rapidly scale solutions that will deliver value. 

  • Create an inspiring, inclusive working environment where diverse opinions are welcomed and heard. 

  • Attract/coach/develop diverse talent and ensure a team culture of psychological safety where each colleague can bring their whole self to work. 

  • Role model and uphold our company values and standards to ensure compliance across all functions and levels within the local market. 

Education, Background & Experience 

  • More than 10 years of experience, with strong strategic and financial acumen that includes managing a P&L for a business or function. 

  • Previous experience in managing mid-size teams with demonstrated success in recruiting, developing, and retaining diverse talent and fostering an inclusive culture of engagement. 

  • Successfully managed cross-functional teams and diverse workstreams. 

  • Exceptional Customer Focus with a drive for external engagement and ability to develop effective personal relationships with scientific leaders and key stakeholders. 

  • Track record of developing strategies, managing resources and subsequently delivering business outcomes. 

  • An authentic, humble and open-minded leader; who can demonstrate delivery through others, is able to support & enable team members through effective coaching and mentoring. 

  • Experience of collaborating across markets and with the region; able to build strong professional networks to deliver on joint objectives. 

  • Knowledge of any of Baltic local languages is preferred, fluency in English is required.
