Your Mission   

The Regulatory Compliance Officer oversees the Compliance Programs of UAB Nuvei (Company) and is responsible for the design, implementation, and/or monitoring of the Compliance Programs. The role involves working on new regulatory projects, providing regulatory advice, handling day-to-day compliance tasks, addressing policy matters and managing relationships with supervisory authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing the compliance of new products, services, processes and associated compliance risks.
  • Leading and developing the annual Compliance Monitoring Programme: reviewing existing policies, procedures, and processes to identify any compliance gaps, assessing associated risks, assisting in the remediation efforts, where needed, and overseeing the correction of the identified gaps of regulatory compliance areas.
  • Drafting and maintaining regulatory compliance policies.
  • Providing detailed, timely reports, including on unacceptable compliance risks, to the Management Board, the Company's management, supervisory authorities according to the applicable reporting cadence.
  • Overseeing and coordinating internal compliance reviews and monitoring activities.
  • Independently investigate and act on matters related to compliance.
  • Liaising with the supervisory authorities and law enforcement agencies in order to address any issues raised to the extent not covered by the MLRO.
  • Providing advice on regulatory compliance topics, including regulatory changes and their implementation, to business units and other stakeholders.
  • Assisting in the development and organization of training for employees in compliance-related areas.
  • Undertaking any other duties as determined by the direct manager or the higher management line/body of the Company and/or that derive from internal rules.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in compliance, with at least 3+ years spent in a Senior Position in compliance in a Lithuanian financial services institution supervised by the Bank of Lithuania; 
  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in law; 
  • Experience in developing compliance policies/ procedures/ framework, ideally in a financial sector;
  • Be up to date with local & international Compliance / AML standards & regulations; 
  • Ability to engage various stakeholders & explain complicated matters in an easy way; 
  • High ethical standards, strong sense of responsibility & commitment to results; 
  • Excellent bilingual English & Lithuanian communication skills, both written & verbal. 

Benefits

Monthly salary: 3,900 - 5,250 gross (before taxes). Specific salary is offered based on competence, work experience, and compliance with other job requirements.
