As part of our team, you will be tasked with solving complex challenges and maintaining our infrastructure, which handles massive amounts of data traffic on a monthly basis. Our system's scale and maturity are reflected in the following statistics:

• Ceph storage: 6PB+

• Monthly data traffic: 60PB+

• Service requests processed per second: 300k+

• Kafka messages streamed per second: 500k+

We operate one of the most sophisticated and extensive scraping and parsing products globally. We serve hundreds of thousands of requests per second with an exceptionally high success rate. Our scrapers and parsers are employed by prominent e-commerce, market intelligence, and AI industry players, making this role truly global and challenging.

Team Composition:
  • The team consists of diverse individuals from various backgrounds and nationalities.
  • We have experts in gaming, the Korean language, playing musical instruments, riding bicycles, and other areas.
Day-to-day Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop scalable scrapers that meet our business requirements.
  • Develop resilient strategies for unblocking websites during the scraping process.
  • Improve observability within our system.
  • Maintain the current system and develop new features related to scraping and parsing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

To excel in this position, you should possess the following skills:

  • Experience working with Python programming language.
  • Understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, computability, and complexity.
  • Version Control skills using Git.
  • Knowledge of asynchronous programming would be beneficial.
  • Practical experience with code testing tools.

Nice to Have:

  • Proficiency in Dev tools & Network tab.
  • Ability to write XPath expressions.
  • Web development knowledge - HTML/JS/CSS.
  • Experience with front-end frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of Pydantic, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, BeautifulSoup, lxml, httpx, Playwright.
  • Understanding of API usage.
  • Experience working with MySQL, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, Kibana, and monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus.
  • Expertise in building scalable systems.
