Job Overview

We are seeking an ambitious and results-driven Business Development Manager who will be responsible for identifying and acquiring new customers globally. The ideal candidate will have exceptional sales skills, the ability to build strong relationships, and drive the sales of complex technical solutions within protein and enzyme design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and engage with potential clients worldwide
  • Drive value-based sales and effectively communicate the business benefits of our technology
  • Manage the entire sales process, including quotation and contract negotiation
  • Collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions according to customer needs
  • Represent the company at conferences, client meetings, and international trade shows
  • Report and work systematically in our CRM system

Your Profile

To succeed in this role, you should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will have at least 3 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in an international setting, and a proven track record of prospecting and acquiring new customers.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in an international environment
  • Proven experience in prospecting and acquiring new customers
  • Ability to manage complex sales cycles and negotiate contracts
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in sales within biotech, synthetic biology, or biopharma
  • Network within relevant industries and research environments
  • Post-secondary education in biotechnology, chemistry, natural sciences, or engineering
